About Us

 

The Fresh Food Partnership has a two-fold mission:

  • to provide locally grown, healthy and fresh food to people in need through the food pantries, shelters and community meals programs in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties
  • to support local agriculture by purchasing fresh produce from area farms at fair market prices.

We are dedicated to donating fresh nutritious local fruits and vegetables to approximately 30 area pantries, shelters and community meal programs within a five-county area Northwest Michigan.

 

Enthusiastic and caring volunteers make the critical connections between farmers and those in need, as they make scheduled pick-ups and deliveries. As those in need receive a healthy fresh food source, local farmers are also supported through the purchase of their produce. It is a win-win situation for all involved.


Formed in 2003, the Fresh Food Partnership is a coalition of nonprofit organization working to help people and improve communities throughout northwest lower Michigan. The partners are:
