About Us

The Fresh Food Partnership is dedicated to donating fresh nutritious local fruits and vegetables to approximately 30 area pantries, shelters and community meal programs within a five county area of Michigan’s northern lower peninsula, including Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, Antrim, and Kalkaska counties.

Dedicated and caring volunteers make the critical connections between farmers and those in need, as they make the scheduled pick-ups and deliveries. As those in need receive a healthy fresh food source, local farmers are also supported through the purchase of their produce. It is a win-win situation for all involved.

Formed in 2003, the Fresh Food Partnership is a coalition of nonprofit organization working to help people and improve communities throughout northwest lower Michigan. The partners are the Land Information Access Association, Northwest Michigan Human Services Agency, Michigan State University - Extension, Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, and United Way of Northwest Michigan. Together, we are seeking grants, gifts, and donations to help us purchase locally grown fresh food to help feed people in need.
